Meet Nelson Narciso

Nelson Narciso is the founding partner of NNF Energy Consultancy. An executive with more than 40 years of experience in the oil and natural gas industry in Brazil and abroad, he has accumulated deep knowledge in the energy sector, especially in the areas of engineering, manufacturing and installation of equipment and services in the Exploration and Production segment.

Throughout his career, he has held prominent positions at oil companies and service operators. As president of HRT, he expanded the company's portfolio of exploratory assets in Namibia. Prior to that, he held the positions of general director of ABB Vetco Gray in Brazil and Angola, and global director of Halliburton for the Sonangol account.

In the public sphere, he served as a director of the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP), where he headed the creation of the Local Content Coordination, the redefinition of the format of Bidding Rounds and programs to reduce gas flaring and improve the fiscal measurement of production.

Nelson has experience as a counselor at several institutions, including FGV Energia, one of the largest think tanks in Latin America, and the Council for Economic and Social Development (CDES), a collegiate composed of civil society representatives to debate public policies and directly advise the President of the Republic of Brazil. He also works as a senior fellow at the Institute of the Americas, based in the United States.
